Britta Holden

Britta Holden creates and leads, under the name anamcara, rituals and ceremonies for the major moments of life, for instance to welcome a child, to make a pledge of fidelity or to say farewell. She studied history and cultural anthropology in Zürich, Berlin and Mexico, worked for the ICRC and for film and television production companies and taught for many years at an upper secondary school. She has been engaged in creating life celebrations for over fifteen years. She completed training courses with River Jones, including in Funeral Celebrancy. In conversation she clarifies the wishes and the meaning of the occasion. She emphasises the spiritual aspect of a ritual or leaves it out, depending on the stance of the clients. She offers ceremonies in German, French, English, Spanish and Italian. She is a member of trauerredner.ch, of Cérémonie Grichting and of the Ritualverband Schweiz.
