Barbara Stalder

Barbara Stalder is an independent wedding celebrant with a certificate from the Feierredner-Akademie. Previously she organised weddings for years as an events manager on the Thunersee. She works in the Thun, Bern and Uri region and throughout Switzerland and gives her speeches in Uri dialect or in Standard German on request. Her ceremonies are personal and designed with humour; themed weddings, for instance in medieval or Western style, and renewals of marriage vows are also part of her work. She marries couples regardless of gender. The collaboration includes an introductory meeting, a detailed planning conversation at the couple's home, advice on the programme, music, ritual and marriage vows, and coordination with witnesses and musicians on site.
